An act to amend Section 67825 of the Government Code, relating to military base reuse.

SB 1275, as introduced, Atkins. Military base reuse authority: board of directors.
The Military Base Reuse Authority Act authorizes a city or county in which a military base is located to establish an authority with specified powers and duties, upon the adoption of appropriate resolutions, to plan for, finance, and manage the transition of the military base from military to civilian use. The act requires the authority to be governed by a board of directors and specifies that a majority of the members of the board constitute a quorum and may act for the authority.
This bill would specify that a majority of the voting members of the board constitute a quorum and may act for the authority.

The people of the State of California do enact as follows:


SECTION 1.

 Section 67825 of the Government Code is amended to read:

67825.
 A majority of the voting members of the board shall constitute a quorum and may act for the authority.
