AB 1540, Bloom. State dinosaur: Augustynolophus morrisi.
Existing law establishes the state flag and the state’s emblems, including, among other things, the saber-toothed cat as the official state fossil.
This bill would establish the Augustynolophus morrisi as the official state dinosaur.
Vote: MAJORITY   Appropriation: NO   Fiscal Committee: NO   Local Program: NO  

The people of the State of California do enact as follows:


SECTION 1.

 Section 425.7 of the Government Code is amended to read:

425.7.
 (a) The Augustynolophus morrisi is the official state dinosaur.
(b) The saber-toothed cat (Smilodon californicus) is the official state fossil.
