An act to amend Section 2000 of the Business and Professions Code, relating to medicine.
LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST

Existing law, the Medical Practice Act, provides for the licensure and regulation of physicians and surgeons.
This bill would make a nonsubstantive change to the Medical Practice Act.

The people of the State of California do enact as follows:
SECTION 1.
Section 2000 of the Business and Professions Code is amended to read:
2000.
This chapter shall be known and may be cited as the Medical Practice Act. Whenever a reference is made to the Medical Practice Act by the provisions of any statute, it

be construed as referring to the provisions of this chapter.
