An act to add Section 11004.5 to the Government Code, relating to state fees.


LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST


AB 2707, as amended, Cogdill. State regulatory fees: counties: notification.
Existing law provides for the imposition of various regulatory fees on local agencies by state agencies.
This bill would express the intent of the Legislature to enact legislation to require state agencies, when imposing new regulatory fees or increasing existing regulatory fees on counties, to notify the affected counties no later than June 30 of the calendar year in which the fees are imposed.

The people of the State of California do enact as follows:


SECTION 1.

It is the intent of the Legislature to enact legislation to require state agencies, when imposing new

Section 11004.5 is added to the Government Code, to read:

11004.5.
 State agencies, when imposing new regulatory fees or increasing existing regulatory fees on counties, to shall notify the affected counties no later than June 30 of the calendar year in which the fees are imposed.
