AB 909, as introduced, Diaz. Public utilities: energy policy.
Under existing law, there is not currently an official statewide energy policy.
This bill would declare the intent of the Legislature to create an official statewide energy policy that would set forth the policies and objectives of the state on energy issues, including guidelines and make recommendations for actions by federal, state, and local governments.

The people of the State of California do enact as follows:


SECTION 1.

 It is the intent of the Legislature to create an official statewide energy policy that sets forth the policies and objectives of the state on energy issues. It is the intent of the Legislature that this policy will include guidelines and make recommendations for actions by federal, state, and local governments.
