An act to amend Section 656 of the Civil Code, relating to property.

Existing law provides animals that are wild by nature may be the subject of ownership while those animals are living only in specified circumstances.
This bill would make nonsubstantive changes to that section of law.

The people of the State of California do enact as follows:
SECTION 1.
Section 656 of the Civil Code is amended to read:656.
Animals An animal that is wild by nature are is the subjects subject of ownership, while living, only when
it is on the land of the person claiming them it, or when
it is tamed, or it is taken and held in possession, or it is disabled and immediately pursued.
