Governor's Message |

To the Members of the California State Assembly: I am returning Assembly Bill 2467 without my signature. While I believe that it is beneficial to transfer information from preschool and infant and toddler programs to elementary schools, this bill is unnecessary. Nothing under current law prohibits the transfer of specified information that is deemed beneficial to the pupil and the public school teacher. Furthermore, nothing in current law prohibits a parent or guardian from providing information that would support their child’s learning environment or abilities. For these reasons, I am unable to sign this bill. Sincerely, Arnold Schwarzenegger |
