Workers’ Memorial Day.
Existing law requires the Governor to issue annually a proclamation declaring April 28 as Workers’ Memorial Day, and recommending that the day be observed in an appropriate manner.
This bill would make nonsubstantive changes to that provision.

The people of the State of California do enact as follows:
SECTION 1.
Section 29.5 of the Labor Code is amended to read:29.5.
The Governor shall annually issue annually a proclamation declaring April 28 as Workers’ Memorial Day in remembrance of the courage and integrity of American workers, and recommending that the day be observed in an appropriate manner.
