An act to amend Section 701 of the Public Utilities Code, relating to public utilities.

SB 1092, as introduced, Calderon. Public Utilities Commission.
Existing law grants the Public Utilities Commission regulatory authority over public utilities, and authorizes the commission to do all things that are necessary and convenient in the exercise of its authority.
This bill would make technical, nonsubstantive changes to this law.

The people of the State of California do enact as follows:


SECTION 1.

 Section 701 of the Public Utilities Code is amended to read:

701.
 The commission may supervise and regulate every public utility in the State state and may do all things, whether specifically designated in this part or in addition thereto, which to this part, that are necessary and convenient in the exercise of such its power and jurisdiction.
