An act relating to regional parks.

AB 2163, as introduced, Daly. Regional parks: underserved communities: funding.
The Statewide Park Development and Community Revitalization Act of 2008 requires the Department of Parks and Recreation to establish a local assistance program to distribute grants to the most critically underserved communities, as defined, across the state, on a competitive basis, to various local entities and nonprofit organizations for the acquisition or development, or both, of property for parks and recreation areas and facilities.
This bill would declare the intent of the Legislature to enact legislation that would provide funding for regional parks in underserved areas.

The people of the State of California do enact as follows:


SECTION 1.

 It is the intent of the Legislature to enact legislation that would provide funding for regional parks in underserved areas.
