An act to amend Section 35350 of the Education Code, relating to local educational agencies.

SB 1263, as introduced, Hertzberg. School district governing boards: pupil transportation.
Existing law prohibits the governing board of a school district from requiring any pupil to be transported for any purpose without the written permission of the parent or guardian, except as specified.
This bill would make nonsubstantive changes to that provision.

The people of the State of California do enact as follows:


SECTION 1.

 Section 35350 of the Education Code is amended to read:

35350.
 No (a) A governing board of a school district shall not require any student or pupil to be transported for any purpose or for any reason without the written permission of the parent or guardian.

This

(b) This section shall not apply to the transportation of a student or pupil in an emergency arising from illness or injury to the student or pupil.
