Relative to the Joint Committee for the Protection of Lake Tahoe.

SCR 68, as introduced, Gaines. Joint Committee for the Protection of Lake Tahoe.
This measure would establish the Joint Committee for the Protection of Lake Tahoe. The joint committee would be composed of 3 Members from each house of the Legislature, appointed as specified. The joint committee would be authorized to act until January 1, 2015, at which time its existence would be terminated.
Fiscal Committee: NO  

Resolved by the Senate of the State of California, the Assembly thereof concurring, That the Joint Committee for the Protection of Lake Tahoe is hereby established; and be it further
Resolved, That the Joint Committee for the Protection of Lake Tahoe shall consist of six members, appointed as follows:
(a) Three Members of the Assembly appointed by the Speaker of the Assembly, with two Members from the majority party and one Member from the minority party.
(b) Three Members of the Senate appointed by the Senate Committee on Rules, with two Members from the majority party and one Member from the minority party; and be it further
Resolved, That the chairperson and vice chairperson of the Joint Committee for the Protection of Lake Tahoe shall be Members of different parties, with the party of the Member in each position rotating annually; and be it further
Resolved, That the Joint Committee for the Protection of Lake Tahoe is authorized to act until January 1, 2015, at which time the committee’s existence shall terminate.
