An act relating to financial literacy.


LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST


AB 2771, as introduced, Fuentes. Financial literacy.
Existing law provides for the regulation of state chartered banks and credit unions by the Department of Financial Institutions.
This bill would state the intent of the Legislature to enact legislation that would encourage the availability of financial literacy information in community-based organizations, consumer counseling organizations, educational institutions, government, and financial institutions.

The people of the State of California do enact as follows:


SECTION 1.

 It is the intent of the Legislature to enact legislation that would encourage the availability of financial literacy information in community-based organizations, consumer counseling organizations, educational institutions, government, and financial institutions.
