An act relating to navigation, and making an appropriation therefor.

AB 862, as introduced, Thomson. Federal navigation projects: Port of Sacramento: local matching share.
Existing law contains legislative findings and declarations regarding the state’s compelling interest in the success of her ports and harbors.
This bill would appropriate $16,000,000 from the General Fund to the Department of Boating and Waterways for allocation for the 2001–02 fiscal year to the Port of Sacramento for the purpose of meeting local matching share requirements for federal navigation projects.

The people of the State of California do enact as follows:


SECTION 1.

 The sum of sixteen million dollars ($16,000,000) is hereby appropriated from the General Fund to the Department of Boating and Waterways for allocation for the 2001-02 fiscal year to the Port of Sacramento for the purpose of meeting local matching share requirements for federal navigation projects.
