Existing law provides for the California Work Opportunities and Responsibility to Kids (CalWORKs) program, under which cash assistance and other benefits are provided to qualified low-income families.
Existing law requires certain CalWORKs recipients to participate in welfare-to-work activities, in accordance with welfare-to-work plans.
This bill would prohibit any aid grant level increase, including a cost-of-living adjustment, from being provided to any CalWORKs recipient who is out of compliance with his or her welfare-to-work plan.
