February 19, 2021

LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST

AB 1446, as introduced, Stone. Parole.
Existing law requires the Board of Parole Hearings to meet with every inmate during the 6th year before the inmate’s minimum eligible parole release date to determine parole eligibility. For purposes of parole consideration, existing law prohibits a sentence based on a conviction for which a person was previously pardoned on the express ground that the person was not guilty from counting as a previous conviction.
This bill would make technical, nonsubstantive changes to these provisions.
