An act to amend Section 33334.4 of the Health and Safety Code, relating to redevelopment.

SB 641, as introduced, Knight. Redevelopment.
The Community Redevelopment Law requires redevelopment agencies to expend money in the agency’s Low and Moderate Income Housing Fund to assist housing for persons of low and very low income, as specified, and makes legislative findings and declarations in that regard.
This bill would make technical, nonsubstantive changes in those provisions.

The people of the State of California do enact as follows:


SECTION 1.

 Section 33334.4 of the Health and Safety Code is amended to read:

33334.4.
 The Legislature finds and declares that is it shall be the policy of each agency to expend, over the duration of the redevelopment plan, the moneys in the Low and Moderate Income Housing Fund to assist housing for persons of low and very low income in at least the same proportion as the total number of housing units needed for those income groups which that are not being provided by other governmental programs bears to the total number of units needed for persons of moderate, low, and very low income within the community.
