LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST


SB 666, as introduced, Umberg. Civil litigation.
Existing law specifies procedures that apply in civil litigation, including pretrial procedures, discovery of evidence, trial procedures, and enforcement of judgments.
This bill would declare the intent of the Legislature, in light of the COVID-19 public health emergency, to enact legislation that would increase efficiency and reduce the cost of civil litigation.

The people of the State of California do enact as follows:


SECTION 1.

 It is the intent of the Legislature, in light of the COVID-19 public health emergency, to enact legislation that would increase efficiency and reduce the cost of civil litigation.
