Under existing law, the Public Utilities Commission has regulatory authority over public utilities. Existing law authorizes the commission, each commissioner, and each officer and person employed by the commission to inspect, at any time, the accounts, books, papers, and documents of any public utility, as specified. Existing law also authorizes the commission, each commissioner, and any officer of the commission or any employee authorized to administer oaths to examine under oath any officer, agent, or employee of a public utility in relation to its business and affairs.
This bill would make technical, nonsubstantive changes to that provision.
