An act to repeal Article 4 (commencing with Section 355) of Chapter 2.3 of Part 1 of Division 1 of the Public Utilities Code, relating to public utilities.

SB 1823, as introduced, Sher. Public utilities: Power Exchange.
Existing law establishes the Power Exchange to provide an efficient competitive auction, open on a nondiscriminatory basis to all suppliers, that meets the load of all exchange customers at efficient prices. Existing law authorizes the Power Exchange governing board to form appropriate technical advisory committees comprised of market and nonmarket participants to advise the governing board on relevant issues.
This bill would delete these provisions.

The people of the State of California do enact as follows:


SECTION 1.

 Article 4 (commencing with Section 355) of Chapter 2.3 of Part 1 of Division 1 of the Public Utilities Code is repealed.
