LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST
SB 43, as introduced, Umberg.
Criminal procedure: misdemeanors and infractions: complaints.
Existing law requires, except as otherwise provided by law, all misdemeanor and infractions to be prosecuted by written complaint under oath subscribed by the complainant. Existing law authorizes that complaint to be verified on information and believe.
This bill would make technical, nonsubstantive changes to that provision.
