An act relating to coastal resources.
LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST
SB 79, as introduced, Nguyen.
Coastal resources: preservation.
The California Coastal Act of 1976 finds and declares that the basic goals of the state for the coastal zone are to, among other things, protect, maintain, and, where feasible, enhance and restore the overall quality of the coastal zone environment and its natural and artificial resources.
This bill would provide that it is the intent of the Legislature to enact subsequent legislation that would establish policy addressing coastal preservation.
