CALIFORNIA LEGISLATURE— 2023–2024 REGULAR SESSION

Assembly Bill
No. 646

February 09, 2023

An act to amend Section 3530 of the Civil Code, relating to civil law.

LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST

AB 646, as introduced, Cervantes. Maxims of jurisprudence.
Existing law prescribes certain maxims of jurisprudence to aid in the just application of the provisions of the Civil Code. One maxim states that something that does not appear to exist is to be regarded as if it did not exist.
This bill would make a nonsubstantive change to that provision.
