LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST

AB 1301, as introduced, Joe Patterson. Alcoholic beverages: Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control.
Existing law, the Alcoholic Beverage Control Act, which is administered by the Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control, regulates the application for, and the issuance and suspension of, alcoholic beverage licenses. Existing law provides that the department shall be administered through a civil executive officer known as the Director of Alcoholic Beverage Control. Existing law provides that the director is the appointing power of all employees within the department and that all heads of divisions and bureaus and other employees in the department are responsible to the director for the proper carrying out of the duties and responsibilities of their respective positions.
This bill would make nonsubstantive changes to that provision.
