An act to amend Section 3331 of the Food and Agricultural Code, relating to the California Exposition and State Fair.

SB 1178, as introduced, Nielsen. California Exposition and State Fair.
Existing law creates the California Exposition and State Fair a separate independent entity in state government, governed by a board of directors. Existing law vests the board with full responsibility for the year-round management and operation of all facilities of the California Exposition and State Fair. Existing law requires the board to serve as the policymaking body for the California Exposition and State Fair and to provide for an annual fair in Sacramento County designated as the California State Fair.
This bill would make nonsubstantive changes to these provisions.

The people of the State of California do enact as follows:


SECTION 1.

 Section 3331 of the Food and Agricultural Code is amended to read:

3331.
 (a) The board shall serve as the policymaking body for the California Exposition and State Fair and shall have full responsibility for the year-round management and operation of all facilities of the California Exposition and State Fair.

The

(b) The board shall provide for an annual fair in one or more seasonal divisions in the County of Sacramento County of the industries and industrial products of the state and commercial products exported and imported through the ports of the state. The fair shall be designated the California State Fair.
