CALIFORNIA LEGISLATURE— 2019–2020 REGULAR SESSION

Assembly Bill
No. 2923

Introduced by Assembly Member Gloria

February 21, 2020

An act to amend Section 50221 of the Health and Safety Code, relating to housing.

LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST

AB 2923, as introduced, Gloria. Homeless Housing, Assistance, and Prevention program.
Existing law establishes the Homeless Housing, Assistance, and Prevention program administered by the Business, Consumer Services, and Housing Agency for the purpose of providing jurisdictions, as defined, with one-time grant funds to support regional coordination and expand or develop local capacity to address homelessness challenges, as specified. Existing law requires a recipient of program funds to submit annual progress reports to the agency and, no later than January 1, 2026, a final report regarding the expenditure of funds under the program.
This bill would make nonsubstantive changes to that provision.
Vote: MAJORITY   Appropriation: NO   Fiscal Committee: NO   Local Program: NO

The people of the State of California do enact as follows:

SECTION 1.

Section 50221 of the Health and Safety Code is amended to read:
