SECTION 1.
For the 2020–21 fiscal year, the sum of three hundred thirty million dollars ($330,000,000) is hereby appropriated from the moneys collected and deposited in the Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund, created pursuant to Section 16428.8 of the Government Code, prior to January 1, 2021, to the Department of Forestry and Fire Protection to reduce greenhouse gas emissions for the following:(a) For the Department of Forestry and Fire Protection’s healthy forest and fire prevention programs and projects, as defined in Section 4137 of the Public Resources Code, that improve forest health and reduce greenhouse gas emissions caused by uncontrolled wildfires, consistent with subdivision (a) of Section 45 of Chapter 626 of the Statutes of 2018.
(b) Not less than ten million dollars ($10,000,000) for the California Conservation Corps’ fire prevention projects and activities, as defined in Section 4137 of the Public Resources Code, in, or adjacent to, the state responsibility areas.
