42238.5.1.
(a) Commencing in the 2001–02 fiscal year, for each fiscal year in which a school district’s average daily attendance computed pursuant to Section 42238.5 is less than the preceding fiscal year’s average daily attendance computed pursuant to that section and the district’s base revenue limit per unit of average daily attendance is less than the statewide average for its size and type, the county superintendent of schools of the county with jurisdiction over the school district shall compute an adjustment to increase the district’s base revenue limit per unit of average daily attendance computed pursuant to Section 42238 to the statewide average base revenue limit per unit of average daily attendance for districts of the same size and type. This adjustment shall be incorporated into the school district’s base revenue limit per unit of average daily attendance for the current and subsequent fiscal years.(b) This section shall not apply to basic aid districts.
