In order to equalize revenue limits for school districts by the 2006–07 fiscal year, to the extent that funds are available, an amount shall be appropriated from the General Fund to the Superintendent of Public Instruction in each fiscal year from 2002–03 to 2006–07, inclusive, to provide funding to school districts, as specified in Section 42238.44, according to the following schedule:(a) In fiscal year 2002–03, an amount of no less than one-fifth of the remaining funding that is required to be allocated in order to reach the 90th percentile equalization target.
(b) In fiscal year 2003–04, an amount of no less than one-fourth of the remaining funding that is required to be allocated in order to reach the 90th percentile equalization target.
(c) In fiscal year 2004–05, an amount of no less than one-third of the remaining funding that is required to be allocated in order to reach the 90th percentile equalization target.
(d) In fiscal year 2005–06, an amount of no less than one-half of the remaining funding that is required to be allocated in order to reach the 90th percentile equalization target.
(e) In fiscal year 2006–07, an amount equal to the remaining funding that is required to be allocated in order to reach the 90th percentile equalization target.
