Welcome to the newly-released beta site for California legislative information!

This beta site offers new features and is a major design departure from the present site used for finding California legislative information.

We have added new functionality to the Bill Search feature. We are also pleased to provide the new Today’s Law As Amended feature which identifies textual differences between existing law and proposed law as presented in the last version of the bill.

Our bill Text Search feature has been improved with the addition of a Boolean search option. All text search results are now also highlighted for clear identification.

We will continue to enhance the beta site to meet user needs. A California Law option will be added next to enable searching all 29 codes as well as searching the California State Constitution. This new option will also allow for complex text searches using Boolean criteria.

The new site shows potential, but as with any beta we expect requests for improvement. We encourage you to use Feedback to provide your comments regarding usability of the site. Your feedback will help us build a product that better serves you. We will review all feedback but may not always be able to respond with a personal reply.
