An act to amend Section 23056 of the Business and Professions Code, relating to alcoholic beverages.

SB 664, as introduced, Glazer. Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control: designated driver information
The Alcoholic Beverage Control Act, administered by the Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control, regulates the sale and distribution of alcoholic beverages and the granting of licenses for the manufacture, distribution, and sale of alcoholic beverages within the state. Under the act, the Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control is required to send with each renewal notice sent to on-sale licensees a copy of the information sheet prepared by the Department of the California Highway Patrol describing its designated driver program.
This bill would require that the department also post that information sheet on its Internet Web site.

The people of the State of California do enact as follows:


SECTION 1.

 Section 23056 of the Business and Professions Code is amended to read:

23056.
 The department shall send a copy of the information sheet prepared by the Department of the California Highway Patrol pursuant to Section 2426 of the Vehicle Code with each renewal notice to any on-sale licensee. licensee and shall post the information sheet on the department’s Internet Web site.
