CALIFORNIA LEGISLATURE— 2017–2018 REGULAR SESSION

Assembly Bill No. 2195

Introduced by Assembly Member Chau

February 12, 2018

An act to amend Section 71152 of the Public Resources Code, relating to climate change.

LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST

AB 2195, as introduced, Chau. Climate adaptation.
Existing law requires the Natural Resources Agency, by July 1, 2017, and every 3 years thereafter, to update the state’s climate adaptation strategy, as provided. Existing law requires the agency, by January 1, 2017, and every 3 years thereafter, to release a draft climate adaptation strategy, as provided. Existing law states the intent of the Legislature to prioritize the state’s response to the impacts resulting from climate change by ensuring all state departments and agencies prepare for and are ready to respond to the impacts of climate change, as specified.
This bill would make a technical, nonsubstantive change to that provision.
