Governor's Veto Message
To the Members of the California State Assembly:

I am returning Assembly Bill 2255 without my signature.

This bill would authorize law enforcement agencies to issue citations for administrative violations of the Medical and Adult-Use Cannabis Regulation and Safety Act.

This bill is premature. The enforcement of the Act rests with the Bureau of Cannabis Control. It is their job to develop appropriate regulations--which they are currently
doing--in partnership with California Highway Patrol and other law enforceme
