An act to relating to health facilities.

AB 633, as introduced, Voepel. Health facilities.
Existing law requires the State Department of Public Health to license and regulate health facilities. Existing law defines a health facility as a facility, place, or building that is organized, maintained, and operated for the diagnosis, care, prevention, and treatment of human illness, to which a person is admitted for a stay of 24 hours or longer, including a general acute care hospital, an acute psychiatric hospital, and a skilled nursing facility, among others.
This bill would state the intent of the Legislature to enact legislation requiring health facilities to evaluate their safety and sanitation practices.

The people of the State of California do enact as follows:


SECTION 1.

 It is the intent of the Legislature to enact legislation requiring health facilities to evaluate their practices relating to safety and sanitation.
