(a)The fee for transcription of the original printed copy shall be as follows:
(1)Until July 1, 2020, eighty-five cents ($0.85) for each 100 words.
(2)From July 1, 2020, until January 1, 2021, ninety-three cents ($0.93) for each 100 words.
(3)From January 1, 2021, until January 1, 2023, one dollar and three cents ($1.03) for each 100 words.
(4)On and after January 1, 2023, one dollar and thirteen cents ($1.13) for each 100 words.
(b)The fee for the first copy to a court, party, or other person who does not simultaneously purchase the original shall be as follows:
(1)Until July 1, 2020, twenty cents ($0.20) for each 100 words.
(2)From July 1, 2020, until January 1, 2021, twenty-one cents ($0.21) for each 100 words.
(3)From January 1, 2021, until January 1, 2023, twenty-three cents ($0.23) for each 100 words.
(4)On and after January 1, 2023, twenty-six cents ($0.26) for each 100 words.
(c)When multiple copies are simultaneously purchased, all copies after the original or first copy shall be charged as
follows:
(1)Until July 1, 2020, fifteen cents ($0.15) for each 100 words.
(2)From July 1, 2020, until January 1, 2021, sixteen cents ($0.16) for each 100 words.
(3)From January 1, 2021, until January 1, 2023, eighteen cents ($0.18) for each 100 words.
(4)On and after January 1, 2023, twenty cents ($0.20) for each 100 words.
(d)Notwithstanding subdivisions (a) to (c), inclusive, if a trial court had established transcription fees that were in effect on January 1, 2012, based on an estimate or assumption as to the number of words or folios on a typical transcript page, those transcription fees
shall be the transcription fees for proceedings in those trial courts, and the policy or practice for determining transcription fees in those trial courts shall not be unilaterally changed.
