CALIFORNIA LEGISLATURE— 2015–2016 REGULAR SESSION

Assembly Bill
No. 196

Introduced by Assembly Member Waldron

January 28, 2015

An act to amend Section 23355 of the Business and Professions Code, relating to alcoholic beverages.

LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST

AB 196, as introduced, Waldron. Alcoholic beverage control.
The Alcoholic Beverage Control Act regulates the application, issuance, and suspension of alcoholic beverage licenses by the Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control. The act authorizes the holder of a license to exercise specified rights and privileges connected with the license for the year for which the license was issued.
This bill would make nonsubstantive changes to that provision.

The people of the State of California do enact as follows:

SECTION 1.

Section 23355 of the Business and Professions Code is amended to read:

23355.
Except as otherwise provided in this division and subject to the provisions of Section 22 of Article XX of the Constitution, the licenses provided for in Article 2 of this chapter (commencing with Section 23320) authorize the person to whom issued to exercise the rights and privileges specified in this article and no others during the year for which issued.
