An act to amend Section 21959 of the Vehicle Code, relating to vehicles.


LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST


AB 1171, as introduced, Fong. Vehicles: ski or toboggan on roadway.
Existing law makes it unlawful for a person to ski or toboggan on or across any roadway in a manner as to interfere with the movement of vehicles on the roadway.
This bill would make technical, nonsubstantive changes in that provision.

The people of the State of California do enact as follows:


SECTION 1.

 Section 21959 of the Vehicle Code is amended to read:

21959.
 (a) It is unlawful for any a person to ski or toboggan on or across any a roadway in such a manner as to interfere with the movement of vehicles thereon on the roadway.
(b) A person on skis proceeding on or across a highway at a pace no greater than a walk is not within the prohibition of this section and shall be considered to be a pedestrian with all the rights and duties thereof of a pedestrian as prescribed in this code.
