An act to add Chapter 1.2 (commencing with Section 8020) to Division 1 of Title 2 of the Government Code, relating to state government.


LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST


AB 783, as introduced, Anderson. State government: agencies, commissions, boards: repeal.
Existing law authorizes the creation of various state agencies, boards, and commissions.
This bill would require that all statutorily created state agencies, boards, and state commissions that are funded by General Fund revenues, except for the Franchise Tax Board, be repealed on January 1, 2022.

The people of the State of California do enact as follows:


SECTION 1.

 Chapter 1.2 (commencing with Section 8020) is added to Division 1 of Title 2 of the Government Code, to read:
CHAPTER  1.2. Agencies, Boards, and Commissions Repeal

8020.
 All statutorily created state agencies, boards, and commissions that are funded by General Fund revenues, except for the Franchise Tax Board, shall be repealed on January 1, 2022, unless a later enacted statute, that is enacted before January 1, 2022, deletes or extends that date.
