WHEREAS, The American Vocational Association has designated the week of February 10 through 14, 1992, as Vocational Education Week throughout the nation; and
WHEREAS, The theme for the 1992 Vocational Education Week is “Vocational Education—The Classroom of the Future”; and
WHEREAS, Vocational education has made a major contribution to the economic and general well-being of individual members of our society, as well as to the economic development of our state and nation; and
WHEREAS, Vocational student organizations have contributed to the development of leadership qualities which has allowed millions of Americans to build solid, satisfying, and rewarding futures; and
WHEREAS, The Legislature recognizes the importance of vocational education in preparing California students to apply their knowledge and skills as useful and productive citizens; and
WHEREAS, Strong vocational education programs are vital to the future economic development of our state and the well-being of its citizens; now, therefore, be it
Resolved by the Assembly of the State of California, the Senate thereof concurring, That the Legislature hereby proclaims the week of February 10 through 14, 1992, to be “Vocational Education Week” in this state with the objective of focusing public attention upon the important goals and opportunities afforded by vocational education programs and services throughout the State of California.
