(a) The California State University shall, and the California Community Colleges and the University of California are requested to, establish foster youth campus support programs to provide comprehensive support and outreach services to current and former foster youth in an effort to retain foster youth in higher education. These comprehensive support and outreach services shall include, but not be limited to, all of the following:(1) Financial aid counseling.
(2) Academic outreach, admission, and enrollment planning.
(3) Postsecondary education transition concerns.
(4) Referral to tutoring and other learning support services.
(5) Career counseling.
(6) The provision of year-round housing, as described in Sections 76010, 90001.5, and 92660.
(7) The provision of priority registration for eligible foster youth, as described in Section 66025.9.
(b) The California State University shall, and the California Community Colleges and the University of California are requested to, designate a foster youth campus support program coordinator using new or existing resources.
